
Scottish Water Award The William Tracey Group with Top Supplier Award

The William Tracey Group scooped a prestigious industry accolade after being named Scottish Water’s Top Supplier 2009.
The award, which was created to recognise and celebrate key performers within Scottish Water’s supplier base, was presented to The William Tracey’s Groups Operational Directors at a major supply chain conference hosted in Edinburgh.

The William Tracey Group were praised for their fully integrated waste management services which were tailored to improve the utility provider’s environmental performance.

“This is a model partnership company. I would say that they are probably at the forefront of the waste management field with innovation and ways to help save Scottish Water money. During the last two years that I have dealt with them, nothing has been too much trouble to get things resolved and the quality of the service is second to none.”
The supplier award, which was announced on the 28th May, marks a significant milestone for The William Tracey Group, who provide Scottish Water with a variety of services including paper recycling, general waste, special waste, transportation, tipper hire, pallet recycling, composting and industrial cleaning and pipeline services.

- 80% of hazardous waste received at our main Hazardous Waste Treatment Facility is recycled or recovered.
- We were the first company in Scotland to achieve PAS 100 accreditation for compost material.
- 40% of staff employed in the management of hazardous waste are qualified, industrial chemists.
- Our laboratory processes on average 600 samples of hazardous waste per month.
