Timber
Our sister company, Tracey Timber Recycling, is recognised as being one of the largest wood re-processors operating within the UK market. Established over ten years ago, Tracey Timber has continuously re-invested time and resources into its wood processing facility, enabling it to recycle over 60,000 tonnes of waste wood per year. Using our own modern fleet of vehicles, Tracey Timber offers a dedicated wood collection service to customers across Scotland.
The wood collected is recycled to create a number of useful products. Woodchip is reintroduced as a component in Panel Board manufacturing and is treated to develop decorative mulches for landscaping, as well as bedding and arena surfacing for the Equestrian industry.
As a sign of its progression, Tracey Timber is now processing scrap wood to produce a fuel product for the ever expanding Bio Mass energy industry.
WOOD FINES
Our wood fines are used primarily in the Equestrian industry for arena surfacing and bedding. Our wood fines are suitable for both indoor and outdoor arenas. The arena surfacing is kind on your horse as it is sound underfoot causing a minimum of lateral movement on hoof impact. In addition, this product is long lasting, durable and low maintenance. This product can also be used for Farm Animal bedding.
DÉCOR CHIP
The DécorChip coloured mulches have very low moisture content and last 5 times longer than bark products. Applying a 3 inch layer of DécorChip will block out sunlight and eradicate weed growth, thus keeping the maintenance costs of surfaced areas to a minimum. DécorChip has a certificate of test from BSI for impact absorbing playground surfacing, BS EN 1177:1998 and can be applied in a number of colours for decorative effect.
PALLET SALES
Tracey Timber Recycling accepts many thousands of pallets each year which are graded according to quality and size and then selected for a number of applications. In line with the waste hierarchy, which places re-use above recycling, we endeavour to recover all waste pallets which can be viably repaired for re-sale. Although the pallets are sold as second hand, many of them have only been used on one or two trips and, in most cases, are not dissimilar in appearance to new pallets
The products manufactured on-site from recycled timber can be used across a great number of applications including:
- Equestrian bedding
- Farm Animal Bedding
- Arena surfacing
- Decorative landscaping
- Pathways
- Corporate logos
- Play areas
